BRIEF EXCERPTS FROM "SEMPITERNITY":
VARIOUS EXERCISES IN ANGLICISED HAIKU:
Awakening:
Death wakes us again;
From our familiar world
Unto something new.
Genesis:
Red horizons sway
As sunshine, sky and seashore
Meet in ecstasy.
Edification:
Give the gift of light
Unto the dark and dreary
Diamonds in the rough.
Sempiternity:
Beauty will perish,
Knowledge and Might will falter,
Only Truth remains.

1 Comments:
Haiku is a poetic form that has always fascinated me. While these samples are rudimentary, they were an ultimately fulfilling addition to The Sempiternity Collection, from which they are obviously drawn; the name itself derived from the poem of the same title, displayed above.
